The brand new 1000 year old floor

Inspired by a picture my daughter took in rome of the Roman Baths mosaic tile floor…

I decided to take on the 24 x 8 foot patio off the Coconut Casita. While i would have preferred a fab cement tile….. it was a bit to spendy.

instead i found a stencil through Royal Design Stencils

And went to work.

Borrowed a friends pressure washer and three coats of cement paint in an antique white (I wanted old looking) I was ready to go.

i just used a single dark grey color…. and bent over for a few hours…. i wasn’t looking for perfection

and to be honest at about hour two… i didnt care anymore🤣

i used something called a dead flat finish. I wasnt looking for shiny…. i wanted old. A thousand years old

I GOT IT!

It was hard because of the un-even-ness of the cement. But i kept reminding myself of the OLD part😎
